Wandering Allosaurus Fragilis by Franoys Wandering Allosaurus Fragilis by Franoys
Took me a while! I'll proably add extra animals and make a wider landscape in the future.

Allosaurus Fragilis was a medium to big sized theropod dinosaur, that lived througout the jurassic period, between 156-150 million years ago . It measured between 7,5 and 9,7 meters long, and weighted up to 2,5 metric tonnes. Several allosaurus species spread all around the world, including what today is America, Asia, Africa and Europe.

Looks nice, I like that scale texture :)
Also, i see you've drawn this from a skeleton mount. A little tip: it seems you've drawn the teeth exactly as they look in the skeleton with the darker and lighter parts visible in real life. It's only the dark part of the teeth that should be visible. That light part should be in the jaw and covered in gums, so the teeth should look shorter in the living animal.

OK, I changed the teeth and the lip structure, let me know what you think now. It is featured at a higher res now (not as high as the original file however)

I think the teeth should still be smaller, I can still see some light parts. Allosaurus had quite small teeth irl.
This reconstruction is quite reliable: ichef.bbci.co.uk/images/ic/976…

For the most part, those light parts don't belong to the root, altough a few number of teeth does still show a bit of it. It is more an issue of shading, which now looks a bit weird because I've sunken the teeth quite a bit without having tweaked the lighting. I'll get to it when i have time. Thanks for your answer.

Yeah, I planned to sink the teeth a bit more, and possibly adding some kind of lips.

I hand-drew the scales, however I used a portion of them to make a GIMP brush. I'll probably upload all the brushes I've made in a future.

Are you referring to "Allosaurus tendegaruensis" when you say species of Allosaurus from Africa? I think that was classified as Veterupristisaurus. Also, I don't think there are any specimens of Allosaurus form Asia. Nice art by the way!

There are two possible allosaurus specimens from asia; one from China and the other from Russia, however neither of them has been given a species name. They are unidentified species as of right now. Yes, i was referring to Tendagurensis. Honestly it being that or Veterupristisaurus are valid theories.

Also, thank you so much!
